I’m loving these (old) book posts - so inspiring! And as a side note, Bravetart is one of my go-to baking cookbooks and every recipe I have made from it has been absolutely top notch! Her cinnamon rolls (which can be frozen and baked the morning you need them) are now our Christmas morning breakfast staple. Highly recommend!
Yes! It’s helping me want to revisit classics more than just reaching for what’s new or “light” (ie just murder mysteries). I also enjoyed Elizabeth Gaskell but haven’t read Wives and Daughters yet so maybe that’s next. 🩷

Thank you Monika! So glad you’re enjoying these mini book reviews. Maybe I should start them back up!?

What have you enjoyed by Gaskell?
I loved North and South and thought Cranford had some amusing moments where you can definitely catch glimpses of her wit.
I love North and South so much!
And since it’s been like 10+ years since I first read it, it’s time for a reread!
