Shannon! What a lovely post. Although I'm a little sad you're not dancing to Mariah Carey with your girls in the kitchen while baking lol. So much new Christmas music is a big bummer but the newer song Merry Christmas by Ed Sheehan and Elton John is darling. There is space for modern Christmas music at our house, but we are much less cultured. Haha. The Goodyear Christmas album of 1964 is the only one we had then and apparently I am not the only one who is transported back by it. Happy to have found it online but it is much better in vinyl with a cover you can hold. The nerve to put Doris Day and Mahalia Jackson on same album. Tears flow and joy begins.

As for dancing to Mariah Carey...it would be fitting if they loved her music at some point...I think I memorized her #1s album as a teenager. Ha!

I will have to look that one up. I love Mahalia Jackson! (Her “Go Tell it on the Mountain” is especially good).
